Referral Partner Guide
Everything you need to know about earning rewards through Vault referrals.
Earn rewards for every person you bring to Vault. Share your unique referral link or QR code. When someone signs up and subscribes, you both benefit — they get a great app, and you earn storage, subscription time, and more.
Getting Started

Open your Referral Dashboard
Go to Settings → Referral Dashboard in the Vault app. Your unique referral code and QR code are displayed here.

Share your link
Tap SMS to send via text, Share to use the system share sheet, or Copy Link to paste it anywhere. You can also let people scan your QR code in person.

Attach an album (optional)
Give your referral a personal touch — tap Attach an Album to include one of your albums in the link. When they sign up, they'll immediately see your shared album.

They sign up and subscribe
When someone taps your link, they download Vault and create an account. Your referral is tracked automatically. When they subscribe to Vault Plus or Gold, you earn a reward.

Track your progress
Your Referral Dashboard shows clicks, signups, conversions, and earnings in real time. Watch your rewards grow as more people join.
Reward Milestones
Rewards are cumulative — you keep everything you've earned, even as you unlock higher tiers.

For Venue Partners
Venue partners get additional benefits. When your venue is set up in Vault, customers who scan your QR code automatically subscribe to your venue's notification list. You can then send promotions and announcements directly to their phones.
Setting up your venue
- Contact the Vault team to register as a venue partner and receive your referral code.
- Your venue will be set up with a location, radius, and optional special offer (e.g., "Free drink on us!").
- Print your QR code and place it at your venue — on tables, at the bar, or at the entrance.
- When customers scan the code, they sign up for Vault and are automatically subscribed to your venue's notification list.
Sending venue notifications
VIP and Founder members can send push notifications to venue subscribers directly from the Vault app:
- Open the Nearby tab and make sure your session is active.
- Tap the megaphone icon in the radius banner.
- Select Venue mode and choose your venue from the list.
- Enter a title and message, then tap Send Push.
- All subscribers with notifications enabled will receive your message instantly.
Earning commissions
Venue partners earn a commission on every subscription that comes through their referral link. Your commission rate and earnings are visible in the Referral Dashboard. Payouts are processed monthly.
Tips for Success
- Personalize your link — attach your best album to make a great first impression.
- Use SMS for highest conversion — text messages have a much higher open rate than social media posts.
- Share in person — showing the QR code on your phone is the fastest way to get someone started.
- Follow up — a friendly reminder to subscribe can make the difference between a click and a conversion.
- Print your QR code — venue partners and event organizers can place printed codes at high-traffic spots.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does my referral link last?
Your referral link never expires. Your code is permanent and tied to your account.
When do I get my reward?
Storage rewards are applied instantly when your referral subscribes. Subscription rewards (Plus/Gold months) are activated within 24 hours.
Can I refer someone who already has Vault?
No — referral attribution only works for new signups. If someone already has an account, the link will still share your album but won't count as a referral.
What counts as a "paid referral"?
A paid referral is someone who signed up through your link AND purchased a Vault Plus or Gold subscription. Free signups count as signups but not as paid referrals for milestone rewards.
Do rewards expire?
Bonus storage is permanent. Subscription rewards (Plus/Gold months) begin when they're granted and last for the specified duration.
